I stayed here with a Jubilee pilgrimage group last week. One of our guides, Emanuelle, said the hotel was his former high school. It is centrally located across the street from the Roman wall. The hotel was tastefully decorated, spacious, and up to date. The large lounge has a small piano bar and ample comfortable seating throughout. Good hotel overall

We stayed here for three nights while seeing the sights of Rome.
Checking in was easy and they allowed us to leave our suitcases while we went out for the day.
Room overall was ok. Internet was excellent considering we were in the 4th floor. TV didnt really work at all during the stay. Occasionally you could watch a channel but generally it wouldnt work at all.
Breakfast is not really worth the money. Cold bacon...

We had a lovely 4 night stay. All the hotel staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was bright and clean. The location is perfect with only a ten minute walk from Termini Station. Breakfast was abundant and very good. In the lobby with Piano Bar we enjoyed listening to Carmelo the pianist while sipping our after dinner drink! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back....

Positives: good location, with nice spa (at extra cost)
Negatives: Air conditioning in our Junior suite did not work. The high tech control system did not work neither did the other back up controls. Hotel staff were aware and said they could alter the temperature from the front desk. This never happened despite requesting each day and so we had 3 nights in a sweltering room. There is a timeless character in the air in Rome and The Building Hotel shares that special quality. The Building Hotel is a meeting of ancient and new. There seems to be the remains of a ruin overlooking the pool while there are some modern features incorporated into the decor.
