It was a very nice stay here! Although abit deceiving where the the hotel is especially finding the front door.. Luckily, we pulled up where we thought it might have been with the help of Google.. And because it is on a busy road right at the street lights, we had found the hotel after going in and checking that it was it! The restaurant was decent for breakfast. Overall hospitality was very poor for a Kimpton signature hotel chain. I am very disappointed. As an elite Platinum member of IHG, the service provided was very unwelcoming. The older asian gentleman who was checking us in was very unwelcoming. Fantastic Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups

We recently stayed at the Kimpton Alton Fishermans Wharf Hotel in San Francisco and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from Fisherman's Wharf and within walking distance to the restaurants in North Beach. The modern vibe and newly renovated interiors add a fresh and inviting feel to the place.

I had a great stay here with my family while on vacation this past week. We stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic, we did the bundle with valet and saved ton on parking around town. Just use the clipper card and city trans to get anywhere you need. The room is good size for 2, clane and well represented.
The staff were great, especially Yvonne and Harvey at the front desk, very warm, friendly and generous with sharing their local knowledge.
The gym is well equipped.
Housekeeping was good and helpful.
Overall probably the best hotel in Fisherman's Wharf....
