We first stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, and have been back for New Year's ever since. The service is spectacular, the staff are helpful and very friendly, they have a fairly large gym, for a hotel, and a pool. The breakfast has many options. The location is perfect. ...

We booked a hotel stay with Hotel Riu Fishermans Wharf and were so excited. Unfortunately, a big snow storm thwarted our plan and we had to cut our trip short to get home safely. Even though it was past the time to cancel our hotel stay, Hotel Riu allowed us to cancel without the penalty charge. That is incredible and so kind of management, and greatly appreciated. We spend a week in SF each year in December. This year we choice Hotel Riu. I did not love the surprise $250 "resort fee" due at check in. They also charge $5 if you have a package delivered even if you are in the lobby waiting for it. Their store is only open until 10pm and they don't have and vending machines. I have not stayed at a hotel without a 24/7 grab and go market in years. Not being able to by a bottle of...
