TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park

We had a great week at the Sarigerme park Hotel with Tui The hotel itself was pristine and our family room was huge . The staff were really helpful and attentive and the food was excellent. After 3 days the hotel was virtually empty with only about 30-40 of us remaining as the hotel closed for the season on the day we left . Despite being quiet all the activities could still be booked and to be honest the peace and quiet was lovely . We did quite a few of the classes and paid extra for water sports . The only downside was having to pay for mountain biking - it was a great excursion but mountain biking is included in some tui hotels but not at this hotel . Also, both our children are very sporty and would have liked to have taken part in some of the activities with us but most of them were only ok if over 16 . The bar and restaurant staff were great and special mention to Evren who really looked after us and also Erol the tennis coach who played a lot with my son. On the whole it was a great holiday and we would definitely recommend both the resort and the hotel - we would definitely return .

My wife and I re-visited the Tui Blue in June this year (following our 2018 holiday), and can only say that it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. The rooms are, in the main, in low rise blocks, and are not only contemporary, but they are kept spotless by a small army of cleaners. The main restaurant truly caters for all tastes and the variety and quality of food offered is the best that we have ever encountered (and we are "mature" travellers). There are around 8 separate "live" cooking/serving stations, and countless other displays of the most wonderful fayre. Even the fussiest eater would find something to satisfy them. In addition, there is the Pool bar/restaurant, where we liked to take lunch, and the Beach Bar (Purple Turtle) where Turkish Kebabs and Pide were freshly made, not to mention the A La Carte restaurant for that special meal. The Gardens are truly outstanding. It is like a Miniature Chelsea Flower show (with sun), and the gardeners are always to be seen keeping it all pristine. With 35 acres to walk in and explore, there is always something new to see (perhaps even a tortoise or two) The private beach is a short stroll through the grounds, and has ALL the amenities that a "blue flag" beach should have (including lifeguards and spotless toilets). Once again this year, the staff were the crowning glory of the Tui Blue, and worth a special mention were, "our" drinks waitress Halime, Evren the barman with the MENSA IQ (such was his ability to remember everyone's drinks), Bekir in the pool bar, and Serap in the restaurant, BUT by far, our award for exceptional Customer Service goes to Munevver in the restaurant, who would have our table (and more importantly) chilled wine and water, (along with a welcoming smile), ready and waiting for us each evening. To test our belief in the Tui Blue brand, we took a late summer break to a totally different all inclusive hotel in Antalya, and to be kind, it was "Totally Different"!! With our belief unshaken, we are pleased to confirm that this is the TOP hotel in Turkey and we have already booked for next year, See you, and your team in June 2019, Yavuz (and my friend "Turkish Muscles").

I returned from this hotel last week and I can honestly say I’ve never been so disappointed with a holiday. Let’s start with what was good about the holiday: - Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are perfect, just the right size and we had a lovely view. - Short walk to the beach and the resort “strip” which was one small street. - Staff were friendly and one in particular was Gorkan - I hope I spelt his name correctly. He was very helpful and listened and tried his best to help with the issues I had to raise numerous amounts of time. - Great for everything to be visible on the app and also the iPads in the lobby. Before I go on to the negatives, I will say I booked this holiday purely for the amount of activities and entertainment going on as this is what my son and I enjoy during his half term break. - Kids Clubs - in the brochure there was a wide range of activities listed for kids and teens. When I arrived my son went down numerous times to find nobody there to actually do these activities. After quite a few times I went and complained to reception. Why have these on the app as happening when they are clearly not? Their response was oh the hotel is closing next week so everything is winding down and if I had booked in August it would have been a different story. Well I have booked a holiday with kids club as stated on the website and also on your app. If kids clubs stop running at a certain time of year this should be stated. After this the member of staff who was meant to be running the kids club offered to do something with my son and another boy his age but not what was actually listed as going on. Too little too late really. The only person that actively tried to get kids to participate in anything was the scuba diving school guy (not part of the hotel) who obviously wanted to do a free taster session in the hope you would buy a scuba diving excursion. All that would have been required from the kids club staff would be to do the same thing and actively get children involved by walking around and engaging with them. - Entertainment - in the brochure (again) a wide range of entertainment including regular shows, a garden party, white party and neon party. I’m guessing this must have been for another hotel?! As it’s definitely not this one! No sign of any of the parties listed and two dance shows were the only entertainment on that week which definitely lacked any oomph (obviously must be them winding down as the hotel is closing next week was the excuse I heard) - Food - As listed in the brochure there is one main restaurant, 1 A La Carte restaurant and a Beach BBQ held. On the day of my welcome meeting I was advised that the A La Carte restaurant was shutting that night and would not be opening again due to the hotel closing down next week (yes I know this seemed to be the regular excuse) so I tried to book but as you can imagine it was fully booked. This should also be stated when booking that it closes down early so customers are aware in advance. Beach BBQ absolutely no sign of that at all?! Maybe if I’d asked I would have been given the same excuse as I heard all week so I gave up asking. The food in the main restaurant was lovely but point being I had paid for the a la Carte and bbq and had expected this as part of my holiday. - TUI Conference - now I understand that lots of big hotels hold conferences, but these have never affected a holiday that I’ve been on whilst these are happening. This one however did. Now as stated above there was a lack of entertainment but one night on the app a “Surprise Concert” was held in the gardens at 10pm. Myself, my son and quite a few other guests went down at 10pm to actually discover all of the TUI Travel Agents has actually had a bbq (yes you know the one guests were meant to have?!) in the same area as the concert and it was quite clear the concert was mainly held for them as we and other guests were made to feel as we were gatecrashing a private party only available if you were a TUI Travel agent. A very horrible atmosphere so we walked out after 10 minutes. After complaining to my rep about this and obviously all the other issues as above she advised that the hotel was holding a laser party that night. I asked if this was on the app as if it was for guests it should have been but no it wasn’t. I clarified if this was for conference Travel Agents or for guests and she said the hotel have advised her it is for both (but not on the app so can guarantee most people were unaware of it unless you were attending the conference) so off we go to try this party with around 8 other guests who had managed to hear about it. I’m guessing the same 8 who had complained about the same issues. Again we were made to feel very unwelcome by the attendees of the conference and stared at as to why we were there. One of the guests actually went up and spoke to the CEO as to how conference had impacted her holiday but he couldn’t have cared less. (Great leadership and customer experience) again after about 20 minutes this time we all walked out. Also the a la Carte restaurant that was shut to paying guests was also opened especially for the conference travel agents!! Yes that same one I had paid for but couldn’t actually get in as part of my holiday! I’m guessing quite a few people complained about this as a few nights later the A La Carte restaurant was open for one night only especially for guests. So I booked in expecting a lovely experience. Hmm should have known better by this point. Let’s just say it felt like this was the first time the restaurant had opened the way the staff had no bloody clue. Before I’d ordered our food I’d had a cold meze plate of food put down on our table, a variety of houmous and other dips that funnily enough need bread to dip in to enjoy. Did I see any bread?! No! Did I manage to get a member of staff to stop and get me some bread or even a drink as at this point no one had?! No again! So it was lovely to look at all these lovely dips and not enjoy them as have you ever eaten houmous with a fork?! Finally a waiter appeared but only to give us our starters and take away our uneaten meze platter. I asked for a drink and was passed on to two other waiters before finally receiving one. Now I can see you wondering how this was due to the conference again. Well 2 large tables were funnily enough full of conference travel agents (who shouldn’t have been there as a guest only night) who the waiters were literally falling over hand and foot to help and serve first and be at their beck and call. I saw numerous actual guests walking out due to their lack of service including a family waiting for an hour and half for their main course. So overall would I come back to this hotel, definitely not based on all of the above. All feedback has also been logged with the rep and TUI as it should matter if I book a holiday in October or August all facilities that are listed on the website or brochure should be running unless otherwise stated as such at the time of booking.
