    The Skopelos Village has seafront views, pretty gardens and the quiet atmosphere necessary for a relaxing getaway.

    This hotel has two pools and gardens lined with honeysuckle, jasmine and lavender plants. There's a gym for those who fancy a quick workout, and a range of relaxing spa treatments to help guests unwind. Each room has a balcony or terrace, perfect for morning coffees al fresco.

    A five-minute walk takes guests to a pebble beach close to Skopelos Town's old port. Tavernas and boutiques are about a 10-minute walk away, and there's a gang of bars and nightclubs around the town centre.

    Lovely break, but it had it’s downsides

    We spent 9 days on the island, staying in a Airbnb apartment just above the town centre with lovely views over the harbour and old town. When we arrived it was very quiet with a number of places still not open, but as the week went on the town became much busier. Great for the local economy but of course noise levels, especially at night, also increased. There are hundreds of mopeds in the town and they seem to be everywhere at all times of the day and night. And once the local nightclub opened the bass beat went on at weekends from midnight until 6.30am. Not loud but obvious. When we were in Skopelos there had been less than 200 Covid deaths in the whole of Greece, so a lot of the locals don’t quite get the wearing of masks/social distancing thing. The restaurant and shop staff sort of comply but it general it tends to fall short. We hired a jeep for 3 days and visited the Mamma Mia sights and some beautiful beaches which have also been reviewed. We also took a ferry to Alonissos which was also really good. Good restaurants in Skopelos town and all in all the return of the Brits is being welcomed as we make up 70% of the revenue. Don’t be put off by the noise, especially at weekends, there are quiet areas and out of town the views are spectacular.

    Beautiful hotel with excellent and friendly staff . Small spa a must . Breakfast amazing so was the evening meal . Spotlessly clean . Pool lovely with a quieter second pool at rear . It would be perfect if adult only as pools did get a little noisy at times

    Had a lovely 1 week stay, staff and cleanliness excellent. Was given a small chalet with kitchen facilities overlooking pool, not well equipped but adequate. Breakfast was a good standard. A pleasant stroll to Skopelos harbour.

    We have to say we loved this hotel. The reception staff Eleni Thomas and the girls were so friendly helpful and kind the restaurant staff Manolis and Panos were so attentive and polite. The gardens and pool well maintained and not too far to walk into Skopelos town. If there was a downside the evening meals could have had more diversity and a few more authentic Greek dishes and a Greek night would have been good, but hey do have good wines. I would definitely stay here again.

    We booked this hotel on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews which were very helpful, we would certainly disregard some of the more negative views given. We very much enjoyed our stay Skopelos Village Hotel. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are spacious. We had room 12 which has a view of the pool and the town. It is on two levels with two balconies. We enjoyed the pool, gym and spa. Olga the masseuse was superb. I had an hour deep tissue massage that was amazing. Breakfast is a buffet form, taken in the covered terrace overlooking the town. The location of the hotel is close to the town which is a 8-10 minute walk away. The town’s restaurants and bars cater for most tastes. We hired a car for a couple of days and toured all around the island. There are a number of very good beaches. Some picturesque and unspoilt, others a little more developed. We took an organised boat trip to Alonissos which was great, swimming fro the boat near an uninhabited island. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
