    Currently one week in on a two week trip to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Overall we are pretty pleased and satisfied with what we have seen so far. Holiday did have a dampened start when we checked into Gatwick and good old Tui disappointed yet again by changing the aircraft to one with no Premium cabin. No representation at check in just a standard letter thrust to us by ground staff. One to pick up on return. Hotel on first impression is typically Royalton. Stylish lobby with great Caribbean view. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed housekeeping excellent. Great shower and room facilities. We were in block 5 with excellent views of the bay. Personally see no reason to pay Premium for Hideaway or Diamond here rooms pretty much all the same. Beach is pretty cove style. Not huge but sea is so clean and warm. Food has been good so far no issues. Would have liked to have gone to the dorado even if it meant paying a supplement but this is not offered by hotel. Pools are sometimes noisy with three sets of music blaring simultaneously. Might suit the younger clients but there are a significant number of older clients here who might appreciate more chilled areas. Staff in the main very friendly but service at beach and pools can be slow. Bottled water only offered to Hideaway and diamond guests. The rest have to drink from a jug. What a stupid rule. Come on Royalton. Some animals are not more equal than others when it comes to water! Trip from airport is long and winding and at time of Tui flight arrival you hit Castries rush hour. Quite a bit of poverty witnessed on drive in and when you are out and about there is a clear sense of those who have and have not. Entertainment is pretty average think this could be improved on from other resort hotels visited. Second Royalton hotel where there simply are not enough umbrellas. Again stupid in a tropical climate and a hotel predominantly full of British visitors. There's no scramble in the mornings for beds but if you want an umbrella best set your alarm. We haven't found it an issue as we get up early anything. Don't like the stained tables in the buffet Royalton you either needs to put tablecloths on or change them please. May fall a little short of a true five star but overall very good value for a Caribbean holiday

    Beautiful location and facilities. Food and customer service is just okay. Quite a long distance from the airport requiring a long transfer. Rooms are large and well appointed. Pools and beach are both great.

    I forgot to mention that I would recommend that if a person pays $25.00 to use the spa facility steam room or sauna that they should have access to those items for 24 hours instead of $25.00 for one sitting. The food at the welcome center was good and that is a nice touch to have a welcoming snack after traveling 1.5-2 hours from the airport to the Royalton. It would be nice to have security patrolling at night, as people are walking around at night. Overall, I think that it is more to do onboard a cruise ship but if you want to relax and not do much on site, Royalton Hideaway is your place.

    We stayed at the royalton for a week may 11th through the 18th. We had no big complaints about anything other than the food. We were expecting more seafood options and carribean flavors which was not the case. The restaurants all in all won't vary much from what you can get at home. The portion sizes are small so when ordering keep this in mind. Appetizers you'll want to order more than one. You usually get 1 of whatever you are getting. The buffet is alright we had a few thing's we enjoyed but nothing over the top. Unless you get something off the grills it's usually just warm. Definitely try the food truck. And the chicken wrap from room service is great. The resort itself is beautiful. Very well maintained. Grounds are kept up very nice. Never saw garbage laying around any where. The staff was very courteous always said hi and always with a smile. We were in the diamond club area and is worth the extra money. Shout out to our butler's "sweet" Carla and "handsome" Benjamin. They were wonderful and always there to help if we needed anything at all. They made all of dinner reservations and brought us a calendar with all the restaurants and our reservation time's. They will help you with excursions and anything you could possible need in your room. We returned from dinner to fresh flower petals star confetti and sweet dreams spelled out in palm frans. It was so sweet. As we were there for mother's day they got me a mother's day card. They called our cabs when we needed one. If in the pool the check frequently to make sure you have drinks and food if you want anything. So if you get Carla and Benjamin you will not be disappointed. Another person I have to mention is our maid Mary. She arrived every morning with a smile on her face and asking how our stay was going. And wanting to know if we needed anything. She is such a sweet lady. The day we left she was st the other end of the corridor and made sure To wave and say goodbye. Bought some of our souvenirs from locals that are on the resort property and was nice to get thing's made by the locals. All and all we had a wonderful stay and would go back again. Mike and Gwen
    Good hotel but bring bug spray

    Great hotel. Food was great. However the Calypso, West Indian food restaurant took over 1+ hour for food to arrive. It was good when it finally came. Also, bring bug repellent. More mosquitoes than I would’ve preferred. Other than that the resort is great.
