Grand Hotel Hermitage

We have just returned from a week in this rare gem of a hotel. From the minute we arrived and saw the spectacular views from the hotel, we knew it was going to be one of those holidays that you never forget. We were welcomed into the hotel with a friendly chat whilst our suitcases were taken to our room and informed of the safety measures in place with regard to Covid 19. The staff and guests wore face coverings the whole time whilst inside the hotel and the sun loungers were sanitised after every use. Our room was cleaned daily to an exception standard and the whole of the hotel was spotlessly clean. We felt very safe and was able to totally relax on our holiday. The staff were so friendly and professional and always made us feel very welcome. I must also commend the hotel on the smartness of the staff, they always looked immaculate, we especially loved the waiters and how smart they looked in the dining room in the evening, it gave the whole dining experience a very special touch and as for the food it was so good, in fact we went out into Sorrento a couple of times for dinner and found it difficult to not be wondering what they were enjoying back at the hotel! We used the complimentary mini bus service quite a few times too whilst we were there too to take us into Sorrento and bring us back, this is an excellent service which we found really useful and a nice touch. There is also a little village about a 10 minute stroll away which has a few little shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket. We booked the little land train trip through the hotel which leaves from the village and had an amazing time visiting a monastery limoncello factory, with tasting, a stunning little place for olive oil, mozzarella, marmalade and honey, again enjoying sampling the lovely tastes of Italy. We had photo stops and lots of information and also lots of fun as the driver was a real character! We also did the Almalfi and Positano trip which we also enjoyed and can be booked in the village excursion shop or through the hotel. The reception at the hotel are always on hand to help or inform you in any way they can. We have travelled many places worldwide and stayed in 5 star hotels, this hotel and its lovely staff gave us some of the best service we have ever received. My only negative is that I'm not still there but will no doubt return in the near future. Oh and the weather, well that was perfect too!

Hi View from this hotel is outstanding.Very clean rooms and all staff is very polite and always happy to help.Breakfast bit boring but dinner every day different and very tasty.Shuttle bus to Sorrento is a great addition and of course is free of charge.10 min away from hotel.Drinks and snacks are in reasonable prices.4€ for draft beer 400ml and 2€ mineral water.Some drinks for ladies are also available from 6€.In my opinion this hotel is great location to go to Capri or Amalfi coast.We lived in room 405 with sea and Vesuvius view(amazing).I would recommend Grand hotel hermitage to everyone who likes real Italian vibes.
