    With spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, the Grand Hotel President was an obvious choice for the Platinum collection.

    The Grand Hotel President offers up some of the best views in Italy. The property is set on a hilltop and looks out over the Mediterranean Sea, Mount Vesuvius and the inlets of the Sorrento Coast. Plus, there's a complimentary shuttle bus into the centre of Sorrento.

    The hotel is a great example of Italian good looks. The bedrooms are traditional, with tiled floors and plenty of inlaid wood furniture, while communal areas feature marble staircases and chandeliers. And the outdoor scene is one of landscaped gardens and manicured lawns. You'll even find a whirlpool bath out here.

      With it's stunning location on the side of a hill, the pool and its terraces provide magnificent panoramic views across the Bay of Naples to nearby Sorrento and the distant volcanic cone of Vesuvius.       This main restaurant is located on the second floor. It's open for a buffet breakfast plus dinner is a waiter service, however once a week it's a buffet number for the latter.

      These superior junior suites have a sea view and a whirlpool bath. They also come with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, a minibar* and a hairdryer. Air-conditioning is available from June 15th until September 15th. They sleep up to three with twin beds or a double bed, plus an extra bed added as needed. Just to let you know, each superior junior suite is uniquely decorated, so your room may have a different look to the images shown.

    We were wary of travelling in these working times but we got lucky and booked a holiday in this hotel. The weather was good which helped and dispite arriving in pouring rain it was a very organised check in , temperature was taken and our luggage was taken to our room. Our room was 264 which faced the car park it was clean and had everything that was needed with a good shower. We paid for half board and I can honestly say the restaurant was first class serving typical Italian food (probably not for fussy children) , Luigi the restaurant manager was absolutely brilliant and a great host. The hotel is a fair distance from Sorrento but the hotel provides a courtesy bus that starts at 8:30am in the morning and the last return at 11:00pm. The hotel was spotless and the maid did an excellent job of cleaning our room daily. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.
    Excellent choice for sorrento and amalfi

    Stayed in Sorrento twice. This choice of hotel was perfect. High enough for a good view of town and versuvius and low enough to walk to town if you desire. Free shuttle bus at regular intervals early til late. All staff across hotel are friendly and happy and give great service. Rooms modern and clean. Only two bottles of water in mini bar and not replaced throughout stay and no kettle in room - this could of been due to covid. Meal times were great and of course all meals were great, even for 3 fussy people, myself and two twenty something lads. Even the chef was happy and always dished up large portions whether you wanted them or not lol. I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldnt hesitate to return in the Summer.

    Just want to say a huge thank you To the Grande Hotel President for making our stay with all our friends/family truly memorable. Me and my wife got married in Sorrento and we had all of our wedding party with us for the whole week. We initially were booked in with TUI at another hotel, but this got closed down weeks before we were due to fly, so we chose The President hotel as our base for the week. There are some issues still pending with TUI which I won’t go into, but in regards to the President hotel, we all couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was fantastic with the most breathtaking morning views on the terrace If the weather happened to be decent. Dinner absolutely superb. The dinner is served as a set menu 3 course dinner and you had a range of options to choose from. Not 1 single meal was poor, well done President. The hotel in general is beautiful, but only slight issue is maybe due to Covid or it being the low season, part the hotel was closed. The ala cart restaurant/sky bar wasn’t open and neither was the jacuzzi. Wasn’t a huge issue but would of been nice to experience the whole hotel. Regular shuttle bus into Sorrento town and back which was extremely handy and all of used a number of time’s. Great driver. Reception staff and waiters excellent. All in all, President hotel made us all feel welcome and we had a fantastic wedding/holiday with all our guests. One day we might return to this hotel.

    We recently stayed at the Grand Hotel President for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier! The staff in all parts of the hotel were polite, kind and extremely helpful; nothing was ever a problem for them and treated us so very well. Our room was comfortable, clean and was always so welcoming after a long day by the pool, returning after dinner or a trip to the bar. The food from the restaurant was beautiful every day we dined there: a diverse selection and flawless each time. We were once late for dinner after a long day to Rome and after ringing ahead to reception to let them know, the restaurant kindly plated up some food which was awaiting us in our room when we got back. If that isn't good service, i don't know what is! A special mention for the bar staff too, who looked after us with some of the best cocktails we've ever had! We left not wanting to leave! We returned home with so many wonderful memories and a feeling of being truly looked after. Thank you, Grand Hotel President!
    A room with a view

    So happy we booked this hotel for our 4 day trip to Sorrento. We had a sea view room and the view was breath taking. The rooms are big, clean and modern with a large tv, massive balcony and a mini fridge. The pool bar us a great place to eat too. There is a shuttle bus every hour in to Sorrento which is very handy. Breakfast was ok, but it was just ok nothing special.
