    This perfectly located Hotel was just the one we were booked in as part of our vacation package so we did not know what to expect. After a 27 hour journey to get there from western Canada we were just relieved to finally have a room. Our first impression was like many reviews had said. The room was very small. The word small soon changed to perfectly quaint full of Italian charm💕The location, after finding our way around is perfect. So close to everything. Great food, shopping and much more right outside the door. The staff were so friendly and everything was spotless. The garden was absolutely perfect to sit and have espresso in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evening. Our room overlooked a bustling street which made you feel the life of the city. We only had three nights in Sorrento, but it was enough time to fall in love with this place. We are already planning to return and the ASTORIA is the only place we will want to stay. Toni & Presley

    We have stayed at the Hotel Astoria once before in 2017, and as the saying goes, once is not enough ... well, that is how we feel about the lovely HOTEL ASTORIA, in Sorrento Italy ... A gem all the way ... great location, rooms, staff, breakfasts, most accomodating in all areas. We had a lovely room over-looking the courtyard, very charming. We spent one week there and it was terrific ! Hope to return someday. Thank you staff for all you do to make your guests feel so welcome ! Till we meet again, Marion and Bill Dunn ....     It’s all about the location.. so central. We chose location over a hotel further out with great views. Staff were friendly. Housekeeping did a superb job. We were on the third floor and had a balcony which got the sun in the afternoon as requested. The bedroom was tiny but having the French doors open helped. There was a concrete door stop in front of the dressing table which should be removed. After avoiding it all week I stubbed my toe the second last day which left me limping for a week!The plunge pool and sun bathing area was a plus (the sun bathing areas by the sea are an experience...all I can say is get there early!) breakfast was adequate and the mini bar in the bedroom was excellent value. Lots of great restaurants nearby and lovely to go for a stroll after dinner and still be near the hotel

    We stayed here 4 days. Location is perfect in that it is close to everything. You step out of the reception and you have everything at your finger tips. Hotel is quaint. The garden is very enjoyable. Would highly recommend it. Definitely returning.

    This was our first stop on our self guided tour of southern Italy. The hotel is centrally located in the old town area and provides easy access to the beach, churches, restaurants and shops. The rooms are brightly tiled and the breakfast buffet is adequate. Our experience was marred by the fact that we had the air conditioner leak onto our bed and then after they moved us to a different room twice we returned during our 1 week stay to discover that our room door was open. We did tell the front desk. Uncertain as to the outcome as the second time it happened it was the day before we were scheduled to check out.
