Thank heavens for efficient air conditioning - absolutely needed in a Venetian heatwave. Our room stayed comfortably cool throughout.
Our room was a good size, comfortable and well laid out. Only real criticism was a ridiculously heavy sprung door into the bathroom. However, the wall must have been really thin as we could easily hear voices from the next room.

At this very quiet location in Cannaregio, our group relaxed after all the walking we did exploring Venice. It is a beautiful hotel with great amenities, including an expansive breakfast buffet complete with cakes such as Grandma's Lemon Cheesecake. We stayed here for our 30th anniversary of marriage. We were hoping for luxury but got building work and a view of the boiler room. The shower flooded the bathroom and the decoration was tired. The outside bar area is restricted to three tables and closes at 11.05 although the hotel bar remains open until 11.30. The room was clean and well furnished but the walls and skirting were scuffed....
