A Hotel Worth the Extra Money

When one considers the Ca Segredo Hotel, one has to remember the structure housing the hotel was a former small palace built several hundred years ago and is seated right on the Grand Canal with water literally a couple of feet below the back door. In other words, this is a very very old building built on the banks of the waterway and certain compromises need to be understood and accepted.

This was our first time in Venice. Our stay at the CaSagredo was wonderful. The hotel is uniquely beautiful, expressing old work charm. The staff was great in helping with reservations and sites. What really made it stand out was how they helped handle our stay when one of us became ill. The employee, Ricardo, helped provide a physician and took care of room arrangements to extend our stay. He went above and beyond...

We stayed there last year and had a great time. Told friends how good it was and returned with them and ended up totally embarrassed. Booked through BA again there was no breakfast available when booking, we were told breakfast would be an extra 40 euros per person! Not good if you just wanted a coffee and Croissant.
