We recently stayed 3 nights in this hotel & loved it, we will definitely return. The staff are very friendly & helpful indeed, with numerous language skills. The rooms are traditional in decor, but ample for what you need & serviced every day if you wish. Our only very minor complaint would be how warm the rooms are at night, even with heating off & windows open, as air con is only on certain times of the year, but t...

Hotel Gorizia la Valigia is ideally located in Central Venice. It's a few minutes walk from the Rialto after getting the water taxi direct from marco polo Airport. 5 minute walk will get you to St Mark's square and the grand canal to soak up thd atmosphere, while having a drink and food from one of the many cafes and restaurants. Big thankyou to all the staff at this lovely little hotel, everyone was so friendly and helpful from reception to the lovely ladies in the breakfast room. We stayed for 12 nights and found the hotel had everything we needed. It is a three minute walk from the Rialto boat stop so getting from the airport to hotel is so easy and at 18euros each a bargain. There are no bridges to negotiate on the short walk from the wat...

Located on a busy thoroughfare between St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge, this hotel is easy to find, (no stairs to negotiate from the Rialto water taxi stop is a bonus when weighed down with luggage etc) and is perfect base for all those wanting easy access to all the attractions of the city. Stayed for a week in December and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The location could not be better: along a bustling side street surrounded by canals & bridges, two minute walk to St Marks Square, in the true heart of the city.
Also extremely easy to find. Exit the water taxi from the airport and the street is right in front of you.
