Nice comfortable hotel in one of the narrow lanes just off Piazza di San Marco, 10 minutes walk from the San Marco waterbus stop.
We felt very welcome throughout our stay....

I stayed at Hotel Montecarlo for four nights. The location is excellentwithin walking distance of major landmarks, centrally located, and in a safe area. The check-in and check-out process itself was smooth and efficient.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing.

Easy to find hotel in central Venice, steps away from St Marks square. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the complimentary cakes for afternoon tea. Spacious and well equiped room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Provided us with a breakfast bag to go when we had an early flight which was appreciated....

A lovely hotel, friendly, calm, efficient, handsome historic rooms, excellent breakfast, kind staff, brilliantly set 1 minute from San Marco and 3 from the Campo Santa Maria Formosa. We brought some students, who all loved the gentle and welcoming atmosphere. I warmly recommend this....
