The hotel has a good location, away from crowds. If you want to visit the main tourist places like St. Marks Cathedral and square or Doges palace is a 25-30 minute walk. It has a beautiful courtyard. Our room was on the back of the property. The size was fine. However, we found a bug in our bed, and we got a tissue to grab it and it popped full of blood. It was pretty disgusting. Literally, the hotel was the best part of Venice (and we loved Venice). One of the most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot of luxury hotels. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main canal and has an awesome garden that stretches all the way to the north edge of the island ... great place to take a pictuer of the sunrise!...

An outstanding Hotel with a great location and a wonderful staff.

This was our first two nights on our Perillo guided tour of Italy.
This is a beautiful hotel, once a French Embassy and a Monastery even earlier in its history.
Breakfast had a large selection of fruit, pastries, meats, eggs, etc.
The property is well maintained on a canal with a short walk to the main canal transportation stop.
We enjoyed the gardens.
We appreciated all of the staff as they were truly attentive...
