This hotel is atrocious it is by no means a 4 star hotel our family has trauma remembering this hotel
The staff are anything but happy to help they come off as snobbish and quite frankly dont want to do their job
I would say a prison cell was better then our room we stayed on the top floor and had to walk up treacherous stairs to make it to our room our room was so small we couldnt even unpack our suitcase.. t...

Charming old hotel in a brilliant location

We were gifted a hotel voucher and Hotel Royal San Marco was one of the places we could choose from. The hotel location is brilliant, but certainly don't expect to stay here for a comfortable bed or outstanding breakfast. Both the bed and the coffee machine have seen better days. This is decent hotel, we stayed 5 nights this week. The location is nice, 1 minute from St Marks, 2 minutes from canal and water bus stops, there is a supermarket next door, breakfast is decent but the same menu daily, front desk staff are ok, they may not be friendly, but they do help, the rooms are ok, they clean the rooms well, shower water pressure can improve though, good enough for a happy stay....

Bait and Switch

I booked two rooms with the Royal. The first one they told me I had to cancel and redo since the confirmation link wouldn't allow me to continue on it. I was like fine so I redid a booking for a double room. I get to the property in the evening check in and go to my room with my spouse. Not sure how this room is a double not sure about a lot about this room. Let's start with the fact that it just smells weird. ...

This is not a 4 Star hotel dont be fooled its 2 Star at best!!!!
Our room was on the 5th floor a poky attic room the lift stopped at the 4th floor so the stairs it was when booked I requested twin beds when we got there the room was made up as a double we had to separate the beds ourselves and ask for extra blankets we booked through Thomas Cook rubbish once they have your Money they are not interested...
