Nice hotel but no heating at the end of October

The hotel is in a very good central location, just 3 minutes walk from St. Mark's square.
The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The staff is nice and polite.
What made us feel uncomfortable was the lack of heating. At the end of October the temperature was below 10 degrees at night, but the heating system was not turned on. They brought a fan heater to the room, but it was very noisy, we couldn't sleep beca...

We loved Hotel Splendid!!!

We recently spent 4 nights at the Splendid Hotel and we were very happy with our stay. We got upgraded to a suite which was lovely, lots of space and it looked out over the canal.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast buffet was delicious, I recommend the eggs Benedict.
Fantastic location, close to all the sights- restaurants and cafes.
I would definitely stay again....

We recently spent 3 nights at the Splendid, the last leg of our 12 day trip to Italy (Rome and Florence were the other cities we visited). We were very pleased with the Splendid and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highlights:
1. Advance email communication was great.
2. Fantastic location - on a canal, close to Rialto Bridge, close to St. Mark's square, close to tons of shops, restaurants and cafes.

I recently stayed at Splendid Venice and while my trip ended on a high note, it didnt start that way. I had booked and paid for a deluxe canal-view room, but when I arrived, the hotel insisted my reservation was for a standard room.
