A small hotel tucked away but central to everything (15 minutes walk to the major attractions). Water Taxi stop literally on the doorstep great for getting around and to and from the airport.
We got one of the strange rooms with mirrors on the ceiling. Room clean and house keeping amazing throughout the stay. Room had been renovated bathroom dated and with a shower that was difficult to use due to the sloping bathro...

The only negatives ( that's what people look for in these reviews ) .1 The shower sort of umbrellas- missing you if you stand directly underneath. 2 An alarm went off about 0320 - poorly dealt with as no information given. That's it. The rest was Great. Small but very clean room - great housekeeping. Really comfy bed had great sleep all 5 nights. Staff very friendly. Location amazing. Quiet but central just meters a...

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Ala. The rooms and common areas were clean and welcoming.
I have reviewed 4 stars as it was disappointing for the roof terrace to be closed over Easter when the weather was 20 degrees, and I also paid in advance to book a private water taxi to collect us from the airport a month in advance and the hotel forgot to book it. Hopefully the refund will arrive soon.

As a solo traveller, 69 years old, I stayed here from 29th March to 2nd April 2026. I booked a deluxe room. Throughout my stay the reception staff were friendly and helpful. This also applies to the staff in the breakfast room, that doubles as a bar in the evening. I felt very welcome as a single traveller, something that doesn't always apply. So I know its out of season I.e. not June to August, however to come to a hotel were you cant use the air con, or the terrace as its not spring seems appalling.
To then ask to use the ironing room and told its locked I find unbelievable.
It is a good location. However the rooms as very small, yes I know, its a great location what do you expect
