Best time to go to Oistins

Thanks to its tropical setting, Barbados stays toasty warm all year round – temperatures tend to hover in the mid to high 20s, although the mercury can top 30 at times. Trade winds stop things getting too scorching, though. Bear in mind that the island has a rainy season – if you want the driest weather, head here between December and May. There’s also a small risk of hurricanes between June and October, but these are rare, and hotels are well prepared for them.

Just a heads up – the beaches here are sometimes affected by sargassum, a type of seaweed. It’s influenced by things like weather patterns and the currents in the sea. If your hotel’s affected, the staff will do everything they can to clear it.
