    The Catalonia Royal Bavaro’s a pinch-yourself kind of place – the exotic beachfront setting looks like it’s been plucked from a postcard, and the food’s on another level.

    Location-wise, the Catalonia Royal Bavaro’s got things sussed. It’s face-to-face with a wafer-coloured strip of sand, and has a palm-fringed cluster of sea-facing pools.

    The rooms here see the classic luxury stakes, and then raise them – picture veiled four-poster beds, smart wicker sofas, and arty, lantern-style lights. And if you want to go all in, you can upgrade to a Privilege Suite with its own private pool.

    This was our 5th trip [year] in a row to this hotel and have yet to be disappointed. We are also Exclusive Travel Club members (which in itself is absolutely fantastic) and this is by far our favorite resort to visit. The staff are simply amazing and I can only mention a few of them, our concierge's Laura and Kevin, our butlers Noel, Jensey, Johansel and Juan. The entertainment twosome of Oliver and Moeses (aka pineapple head) were simply great. The restaurant staff were all great especially Batania and Veronica. My wife and I highly recommend this resort for all who want an Adult only, relatively quite and relaxing vacation.

    The room was clean and well designed.The main restaurant is great specially the food.In total it's a good place to relax.The staff are super friendly.The entertainment team is great.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Me and my mum stayed at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro for a week. Such a lovely stay! The resort is beautiful, clean, luxurious and has everything you need. Most importantly - the service was excellent! A big thank you to the staff! Your smiles, your singing and your kindness made us fall in love with the place! A special thank you to our animators Eric, Moises and Oliver! So much fun partying, dancing and laughing with them. The food is ok. Nothing exceptional in our opinion. We took a trip to Santo Domingo which we highly recommend! Learned a lot about the country’s history and culture. Overall - a fantastic one week which feels like a beautiful dream now!

    The perfect adults only resort Right size , nice beach bar, all restaurants better each one other with great service and really good food, excellent staff from the reception to the Rastaurants, gardens, beach , rooms. Very clean in every space , beach was cleaned permanently during all day Big plus the admission to Catalonia resort for thematics restaurants and night life Recommanded for relaxed holidays

    The hotel was beautiful and the ambience was very calm, sometimes a little too calm. We were there during off season in November so it was very quiet. The pool areas and beach were beautiful but very boring. No activities, no music. That’s one thing that I didn’t understand. Why no music at the pools? It was so quiet and dull. And the food at ALL the Catalonia Royal restaurants were so bland and disgusting. Even the breakfast buffet was boring and lacking variety. My wife and I went to the sister family hotel for all our dinner and lunch meals. That is the one reason I would not come back. Multiple days of horrible food is not a way you want to have a vacation. There were also days there multiple restaurants were closed for lunch and dinner so you only had 1 or 2 options for all the guests at the restaurant. Snacks were also few and far between in the hotel room itself. Only Oreos and peanuts and some soft drinks. I have been to other hotels that have provided potato chips and chocolates other more substantial snacks. Beautiful beach but not that much else that would bring me back.
