Well overall the resort was brilliant both for adults and children. Everything you needed was either close by on site or easy to get to. The bad things i would raise is the food!!! Food was often cold as it had been cooked and then just sat on a side for hours and some things were mixed due to there only been a few scoops to use for the food. Staff were often not seen by the food area. There were also birds flying around the canteen and by the food and when you told the staff in there they didnt really care! After a few days of been there my kids and and some others in our party had sickness very upset stomachs....! My daughter required hospital treatment to help stop her been sick and when we told the hotel staff on reception they said a few others also had the same!!!!! Due to this it did ruin most of the holiday. The other issue i found was the waterpark....we went over and got changed in their changing rooms and couldn't beleive it when one of the floor tiles i stood on in the changing area just gave way! There was then a very big hole in the middle of the floor so i informed the staff (manager of the waterpark) and they said they will sort it but went back 4 hours later and still nothing not even a cone to warn people of the hole!!!! One more bad thing was in one of the la carte restaurants one of the waitresses was rushing around so much the dropped a glass of coke over my mother in law and ruined her new top......no one apologised and no one helped to clean it up!!! The reps at the resort were brilliant with the kids and the kids clubs were also fantastic! The night entertainment wasnt that bad either. More
Overpriced for what it is.
Booked with First Choice, was a bit shocked at how basic the plane was, no tv's, not even a netting on the seat in front for rubbish, cattle class indeed, thankfully it was a short flight. Bit chaotic at the airport trying to find the bus, but 30 minute transfer is always a bonus. Huge queue at reception but the staff treated everyone with the same friendly greeting and time, not rushing to get through the queue quicker Enjoyed the pool, spa pool lovely, food not really very good, warm at best, kids mostly lived off chicken nuggets and chips with a toasty now and again. Best food I ate all week was a steak in the American Diner that came with warmish chips, kids chicken was red, not pink, red and was sent back, next serving was thankfully cooked. Caters for the very young family, therefor very noisy at meal times. Entertainment just seems to be the reps, who tried their best and worked very hard all day, didn't see any acts, maybe we missed them. Had 2 problems with our room the first was our Aircon wasn't working, this was fixed immediately, with sellotape but hey it worked for the stay, safe didn't work but again, fixed promptly, thankfully not with tape :-) Did we enjoy our holiday, yes, would we return, no. Excellent Family Holiday
After reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive but I needn't have been but here's my thoughts (we are a family of 4 with two children aged 4 and 2): Rooms: The apartments are perfectly adequate with a lounge area with table and chairs, separate bedroom with 2 double beds pushed together, bathroom with 2 sinks, bath with overhead shower and a separate shower cubicle which is perfect for families plus a kitchenette with oven, kettle and microwave. The balcony is huge with a patio table and chairs. Only criticism is that the beds are hard and the air con is centrally controlled so it's either blasting it out or off and it seems to go off at random times. Food: Whilst the food could be improved there was always plenty to choose from all day long. The snack bar was always being replenished and had jacket potatoes, salad, fruit, chips, burgers and sausages amongst other things. In the main restaurant they had a children's area with sausages, burgers, chicken nuggets and chips etc they also had show cooking which was always a variety of meat & fish, paella and then your usual pasta, stews, curries, potatoes, salad, pizza the list goes on. Drinks were self service which was fab. If you can't find anything to eat you've got to be really fussy! Entertainment: Entertainment was running all day every day from around 10am to 11pm with various children's and family activities. My only disappointment here was the evening entertainment as they break for bingo every night in between the children's entertainment and the adults which in my opinion breaks any atmosphere built up. They'd be better off putting the bingo in a separate area as they also expect you to be quiet! Also, the adult games seem to get dragged out, this would be better if this was shortened and the evening act was on stage longer. Pool area: This was excellent. Both the baby pool and main pool shelved in and the whole area was surrounded by astro turf style grass so perfect to avoid burnt feet and slipping. The lifeguards are brilliant and respond very quickly if they see anyone in distress. It's not possible to change the position of the headrest on the sun lounger which is disappointing but that's my only complaint there. Overall, this holiday was brilliant. The reps and staff are great and you have everything you need onsite. We would definitely consider returning. More
Horrible food. No entertainment for adults, only 3 choices of alcohol cocktails , pools for childrens only and the list can go on .... don't belive me? Book your holiday here and you will see 😉 Worst holiday ever . Definitely not for couples More
Four day stay
We were booked here for four days following a cruise. Upon arrival the hotel did look a little surprising in appearance and we were eventually checked into our room. The reception area was extremely busy as there was a coach load of people and we were virtually at the back of the queue, they worked as quickly as they could but would have been happier being checked in quicker but at least our room was ready for us as it was only about 12 noon and other people had an hour or two to wait for their rooms. We were very happy with our room which was really an apartment, a good sized bedroom with balcony, sitting room with balcony, kitchenette and large bathroom with walk in shower and bath and two sinks! Plenty of room in the bathroom for toiletries etc. and there were complimentary shower gel, bath hat, soap and shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of wardrobe space but we didn't bother unpacking for just a few days! The main buffet restaurant was huge and it was easy to lose your sense of direction in it. The food was very good, lunch was for me salad etc. but there was masses to choose from depending on what you fancied and self service beer, wine, water and soft drinks. We arrived on a Sunday and the roast beef was delicious. During the whole holiday the food was excellent and the alcoholic drinks were very good although the Pina Colada was rather strange. The hotel was extremely busy with families, we had booked only 6 days before we'd travelled as we had had to change our holiday arrangements and would have preferred a hotel without children but this one was the only one available. The noise in the dining room was very loud and it did spoil it as many of the children was crying and running round and it would have been a good idea if a small area at the side of the buffet restaurant could have been designated to adults only as there were lots of couples staying too. The other problem we as a couple and many others had, as we dont smoke, was that people can smoke anywhere outside in Spain. Consequently people were just smoking everywhere and it was extremely unpleasant. Just outside the buffet, under cover still, were some tables and people sat and lit up there after and during eating, often even when other people at the table were eating including children. We just couldn't get away from the smoke, drove us mad!! The only solution was to sit inside which obviously we didn't want to as the weather was so good. Even by the pool the smoke was continuous and by the time we left we both had coughs. The evening entertainment was good with singers in the evening. Pool was lovely with plenty of activities for those who wanted it. We didn't use the indoor pool but we could see it from the buffet and it looked empty most of the time. We used the outdoor snack bar for lunch a couple of times and the choice was very good and easier than going into the main buffet restaurant. We also visited the water park, this was excellent, different areas and slides, etc, definitely recommend this, not too busy either with a walkway over the main road to reach it. The first day after we arrived we caught the local bus into Benalmadena, we visited the harbour area and beach, the harbour and the apartments by it were stunning, definitely worth a visit, and we had a drink and looked at some of the shops, some very touristy, others more top end to cater for the wealthier visitors and caught the bus back to the hotel. We tried to catch the bus to to Albafura but sadly on both days it didn't arrive and we returned to the hotel especially as the weather was very wet one day but others caught taxis,at the end of the road, worth doing as not that expensive, especially if there are four of you. People did say that the buses were unreliable as if they filled up before your stop they just went by. We had a timetable available from the reception. We also paid for a safe from the reception, just under 12 euros for four days. We enjoyed our stay here but for us four days was long enough with all the families but if you've got children you would all love it here.More
