    Needs some refurb & changes

I try to come here most years as it's not too far to travel from UK & suited family though now only have teenagers. The staff are great, TUI staff not so great. Like the footie coach flirting with a single mum, cringe worthy. Playing with just her kid when lots of parents paid for his attention. Other reps as end of season had lost their oomph. Another family complained as they had been before, and next day pool party was back on and the manager rep must of kicked some butts. None of them seemed to want to be there. The hotel helped in my specifications as I'd just had an operation but I never made it over the bridge as I couldn't walk far. You can hire wheelchairs but try pushing a wheelchair over the bridge it's impossible as so steep. My balcony flooded every day from the watering of plants, it wasn't a drop, it was a storm of water. Everything got wet. My mother's room had a huge chip out of the balcony, looked like it was waiting to drop off. No idea how it happened as like an impossible weight smashed it but it needs fixing. This hotel is not cheap to stay in and this year it was full of complaints from families. Entertainment was awful in piano bar. Get rid of the old woman singing on a stool who doesn't sing English songs correctly and has more breaks than Frank Spencer's leg. They seriously need to sort this out. This is first year I've been where the pool wasn't closed due to a child pooing in the pool accidentally. But that's parents fault there are rules. Drinks are ok, get the all inclusive cocktail list. Service is friendly. Arcade needs serious attention nothing works. Don't waste your money. They did a special for the spam she so for 4 days of my holiday the Spanish descended on the hotel enjoying our entertainment we paid for plus they had music on especially for them. Not good for the English. The food is ok the desserts taste the same, foods gone downhill not as much choice as previous years. It's a shame that the things people complain about aren't taken up. If you want peace and are in the piano sidebar ask for a high room. Lifts worked this hold day, previous ones they haven't always.if the button is flashing an X don't use the lift and report to reception. There is an onsite shop overpriced but good thing is a station to blow up inflatables. A bikini was 15 euros for top and 15 euros for bottom but huge sizes. Shop has less choice now, not sure why. Now here's the big problems ending entertainment by TUI is no longer outside it's in the tiny dingy room with a small stage in sept/Oct apar due to rain but that's nonsense also no cash bingo anymore, really disappointing. Now you may win on a free bingo game a cheap bottle Perry. Cash bingo was great, apar they are no longer allowed to do it. So all in all it was ok but they need to start spending money on the things that matter. No issues with main staff. Cleaners come round too late though if you want a siesta at 3 your room may still not be done. This isn't good enough. They should alternate it daily. Come on holiday world you are meant to be a 4*
    Lovely family hotel

This is a lovely holiday village, rooms and whole hotel was nice and clean! Our room did over look a train line but we never really heard it while trying to sleep! Rooms and bathrooms were nice and big! My oldest daughter loved the kids club and both my daughters enjoyed the kids disco. Only down side was entertainment was inside in September while we would of rathered it be on their outside stage! At meal times you had to wait to be seated they didn’t like you picking your own seats but this was September so might not be like this all the time! There was plenty of food and always kept warm and plenty of options to pick from. The beach club was fab for the kids and there is a bridge leaving the hotel to the beach club.
    Good 3 star

I wouldn’t put as a 4 star, was a decent place, everything was ‘ok’, except kids club - it was amazing and is what made me not so disappointed at the lower standards than I’d expected! Beach pools were lovely, hotel pool closed a few times due to infant pooping without swim nappies - nice! Generally though we’re happy if kids are & while we probably wouldn’t choose to go back I think kids actually would!
Good holiday, but potential for so much more...
    30 Nov , 2018 Steve H, 1086376
First time here. Took our 3 year old - the water park was a key driver in our choice of this hotel and we were not disappointed its excellent, really impressive. The pools in general are top notch. Evening entertainment was also good for the little one he really enjoyed it. Food and drink... very average, but as we stayed all inclusive I guess that's what you pay for. The buffet restaurant was always very well organised and the staff very polite. The italian and american restaurant, which we had a visit to each as part of our stay, the food was terrible and most of it was just the same stuff you could get in the buffet. The beer wasn't great, the wine was terrible - some of the spirits were drinkable but definitely not something you would order out of choice. The room, whilst it was a little dated interior-wise, had very good facilities, was very spacious too. We had our master bedroom, a lounge/dining area, a separate kitchen, large bathroom and a very big balcony with a sea view. We were very impressed with it. Cleaners in the room did an excellent job throughout our stay. The reception staff, some good, some bad - there was one particularly miserable and generally unhelpful man with dark hair, looked in his late 40's/early 50's (Can't for the life of me remember his name) - rubbed me up the wrong way a few times. Overall, great hotel for kids. Very geared up towards the kids and the entertainment, from a kids perspective was excellent. certainly not a place to go if you don't have kids. My biggest bug bearer though and worst thing about the holiday was actually some of the English people there, leaving rubbish everywhere, letting their kids run riot splashing younger kids etc, it defo caused a few problems and potential drama's - that's not the fault of the hotel though, just frustrating as an English person to be associated with it! Location isn't great if you want to walk to places, but there is a bus stop opposite and taxi's run regularly into town. It wasn't a bad stay, but I wouldn't go back there. The water park though, is brilliant and if your kids are into splashing around all day - I would strongly recommend this place.
    Family Fun Holiday

First timers to mainland spain. Party of 11 ranging from 3 years old - 71. Visited the complex (which it is to call hotel doesn't do it justice) last week of season so was quiet. Rooms - Booked 4 sea view rooms and although 3 did have a full sea view 1 was mainly pool not as good considering the money paid. Rooms where large and spacious with plenty of amenities like microwave, hairdryer, fridge, AC etc although could do with a little TLC and updating Restaurants - Buffet food was of a high standard and varied every night, kids area for food is a great idea, on All inc you can dine at Burger bar and Italian once - both of which where table service and food was good. Snack bar at lunch was handy when sunbathing and kids could just help themselves. Facilities - The team at the HV work unbelievably hard trying to cater for a variety of different people. there was definitely something for everyone! Soccer school and swim stars are recommended. The nightly entertainment was fantastic and always varied. Beach Club - great for small kids and for wanting a change of scenery. Only gripe I have is that you spend all that money on All inc and the HV is most expensive out of the 3 hotels on the complex so I feel that the AI should be available in all of the hotels on the complex not just the HV. Top Tips - Take the bus to Fuengiroia or into Torremolinos. Miramar shopping mall has a cinema and great for shopping - 15 euro for a taxi or buss for 2 euro Even if you pre-book soccer school and swimstars make sure you book in with the team for your sessions. Go visit the other hotels on the complex with the free shuttle bus! Polynesia has a bowling alley for rainy days for 3euro each.
