We stayed here for 4 nights and I liked the central hotel. The breakfast was extremely good, but the prices did not align with a 4 star hotel. I couldn't understand why prices for breakfast was 32pp when in London and Amsterdam it's around 30pp. Cologne as a city is nowhere close to London or Amsterdam but the prices are crazy. This was evident not only at this hotel, but everywhere we travelled.

Very good hotel close to the Dom and Christmas Markets. Large room, staff friendly, room service only each two days. Breakfast very good. Lifts (3) very busy, difficult to use. Bed very confortable. I recommend....

From a 5 star hotel down to 4, and worth max 3 now.

This hotel went from a 5 star hotel diwn to a 4 star, but even that is too high. We have been here many times over the years, but never had such a bad experience. Bad reception staff, found a used towel in the bathroom, etc...

I deliberately booked a double bed room at the Dorint Hotel in Cologne because I wanted a proper, comfortable bed to share with my partner. What we got instead was two narrow single beds separated by a permanently fixed mini table on the wall impossible to push together, impossible to feel even remotely close.
