Hotel Angela

room 905 top floor but on the dark side as everyone called it this was'nt to bad as it was november .Confusing upgrades at desk but not offered any sunny side might have been 10 e per night the money for fridge 7e? on an 11 night hol bit too much in extras,the sunny side balconys got sun till 6ish but pool area empty so sat down there with my book.food was good plenty of choice meat on carvery always very tender ,veg was a bit hit n miss if you were putting together a roast dinner and I did,nt go to spain to eat roast dinner ,always had a lovely salad for starters,puds/cakes /ice cream .breakfasts were lovely would have maybe liked some fish to do mackrel/sardines on toast for a change the choice of fruit however was fantastic and free bubbly not forgetting the huge choice of juices . The entertainment was ok it was nice to watch older people sequence dancing ,the guest artist in the basement some good some dire ,what spoilt it was some 50 something idiot heckeling acts if you dont like it leave and let those who do to it, for this reason we only went 3 times also a lot of seating used up by non residents,having said that we went to the yaramar 1 night to see il divo .Drinks despite having e-mailed hotel regarding diet drinks and getting no reply the only diet drinks choice coke (hate it),tonic or soda water was charged almost a 1e for a dash of lime ,if your going to cater for diabetics then let it continue to the bar service.I ,m sure tui could have some influence on this .guest relations table manned by invisible man did.nt see them once .Was also a concern that blanket trip woman said there had been some break ins in the rooms and not too leave your booking form out on show but to hide in her drawer.To finish on a high our room was serviced by the lovely isabella ,the hotel is well placed for 1/2 hour stroll to old town and marina and 10mins from train station ,we went to torromolinos and walked the 6k to bellamadina all along the sea front then got the bus back.We had 3 days torrential rain but hunkered down in the hotel with a book and our scrabble

Rooms are slowly being upgraded, we had an older one but it was fine. Other reports say the food is bland, I agree it is a bit but they have a good range in the buffet. The entertainment is ok and suites the visitors who tend to be older. Staff were helpful. The location is good acress from the beach, we were out of season so it was quieter. There is a reat tapas in tge lane across from the hotel, always busy so the food turns ovef quickly. Always fresh. A cofee and two tapas for 3 Euro, not bad at all. Taxi rank at the front door of the hotel so easy to get around. You can walk to the trsin or bus if you feel up to it.

We've just returned from our favourite Hotel the Angela in Los Boliches, Fuengirola. This was our 5th visit to this 4 star adults only hotel. Once again a big thank you to all the staff , from reception down to the room cleaning maids, a special mention to the lovely Fernando in the dining room,Cristobel, Michael & George in the lower entertainments room & reception for making our stay a memorable one.The staff in this hotel are always very welcoming, friendly & very helpful. The food is always very varied with a variety of hot & cold dishes including salads, fish & meat dishes to try & meet everyone's needs. The two bars have happy hours every night which usually last several hours selling top brand beers & spirits & not local brands like other hotels & bars. The entertainment is again very varied & good. The only downsides are the rooms although comfy, are little dated & could do with a little upgrade albeit they are cleaned every day including towels changed. Once again a big thank you to the Angela for another lovely stay, we hope to return again soon in the new year.
