We decided to book here and see for ourselves even though there were some negative reviews. The beds were comfortable and clean and housekeeping staff polite. Bathroom need maintenance and face lift.
Sadly we would have to agree with some of the previous reviews regarding food and the rundown building .
Although plenty of food it was often cold by the time you got back to your seat. Dining experience was chaotic...

I'm staying at SBH maxorata in fuerteventura, this is the 3rd time this year. I think that it's a brilliant place to stay , the food is great and the drink are OK . Don't get me wrong if you're looking for a 18 -30 holiday DON'T come , But if you a family or a bit older it's great. Everything was going ok until today.
I write this review as I sit in the main restaurant after raising cross contamination concerns to reception. My partner (Vegetarian) and I booked the Asian restaurant when we checked in on Sunday night for today. Overall, my stay at the hotel maxorata was a fairly average experience.
The biggest let down was unfortunately the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived, there were hairs in the shower, and it was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned. Communal areas tired and dirty!!

Bed room and balcony area were spacious and cleanish! The communal areas and pool and bars were very dated, shabby and needed a good clean.
The outside corridors towards our room wasnt cleaned in the whole week we were there and there was dust and ants and various sticky bits on the floor.
There is only one elevator working and no attempt at fixing it made. No help at showing us to our room and it wasnt easy to f...
