We have travelled a lot and stayed in many 5 start hotels, so booked this holiday, given that it was listed as a 5 star. It started badly once you left the highway and went down a tiny road to the resort, revealing rubbish, fly tipping, shanty buildings and dubious looking shops/bars - once inside the complex grounds, the hotel is grand on the entrance and auditorium but that's where it stops - the rooms are tired, t...

My wife and I have stayed at 8 different high end all-inclusives in Punta Cana area. We traveled to Royalton 6/28-7/3 with party of 7 adults and 7 children, ages 7-13. We reserved Diamond Rooms. 2 of the reservations were for Luxury presidential jacuzzi two bedroom suites and 2 were for presidential jacuzzi one bedroom suites.

I am very disappointed with the week I spent at this hotel. The service throughout the entire property was extremely poor.
From the day I arrived, I had to wait until 5:00 PM to get a room. I was assigned two different rooms, and both were in terrible condition. The bathrooms were dirty, the sheets and towels were stained and unclean, and the beds were uncomfortable. There were cockroaches everywhere.
