Invisa Hotel La Cala

3rd visit this year tells it's own tale. Esther and Barbara at reception gave us a great welcome as did Raul, at the bar who even remembered our names ! The staff here are truly first class. I have written before about the qualities of the hotel, and what a wonderful resort Santa Eulalia is. I do have one small concern regarding the dining arrangements this time around. The hotel has a small terrace for outdoor dining which we like to use in good weather. On our penultimate morning,the waitresses had blocked the entrance and had not laid the tables. My wife and I nevertheless squeezed through, and along with several other guests ate our breakfast outside.In the evening, however, the staff made a much more concerted effort to stop guests from eating outside even though it was a lovely 23 degrees.My wife was certain that this was done because the restaurant was short staffed and that by closing the patio the remaining waitresses would be under less pressure. Whilst I have every sympathy for the extremely hard working staff, I do feel that this was quite poor from them, as the prime function of the hotel is to meet the needs of the customers not to reduce pressure on the staff. If staffing levels were in fact the issue, then this needs to be managed by the hotel. This irritant did not ruin the holiday by any means and certainly will not stop us from returning to this lovely hotel which we recommend very highly.

This was my first trip to ibiza and the la cala hotel. We will definitely be back. The staff, cleanliness and food was first class. The hotel was recommended by my parents whom have stayed there twice. We hopefully will return again next year.

Excellent service from all staff at reception/ dining room/ bar etc. All very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The first room we had, was not up to standard, bit grubby and not too clean carpet!!!. But within 24 hours we were reallocated another room which was much better and a bottle of Cava for our “ loyalty”. Location of hotel is excellent, in centre of Santa Eulalia, near bars , restaurants, shops and of course the marina, beach and promenade. Santa Eulalia is an amazing resort, not purpose build but a small working town as well as holiday resort. The hotels pool gets shaded from the sun but there is nothing that could be done about that. The restaurant had an excellent choice of hot and cold dishes at breakfast and dinner and very friendly staff. Wi-Fi was free in reception, but chargeable in bedroom, also the safe was charged for, but complimentary bottles of water in room fridge. A bit tight on milk and teabags in room, just 2 of each ( so when in restaurant pick up a few more). So, an excellent, adult only hotel with very few faults and would definitely stay again but make sure you are early for the TUI coach pick up, as it went early and we had to get a taxi, but that’s another story!.
