Mayflower Apartments

Just got back from a week at the Mayflower...AMAZING holiday! With 10 visits now we can only look forward to our next. Nothing is too much for them to make your stay fantastic. As always, sad to leave but we will return without doubt. There is no better place to book, just try it once and you will be hooked. See you all again soon :)

Visited the Mayflower Apartments with my daughter and parents for a week at the end of September. On arrival (At around 4.30am) Christos was there to welcome us. He took us straight to our room, provided us with some water and kindly told us to leave checking in until the morning. When we woke the next day we were welcomed again warmly, checked in and a late check out arranged. We ate breakfast most days at the Mayflower. It was served quickly, reasonably priced and very nice. There is also a bakery a ten minute walk away which serves fabulous pastries and coffee. We took a taxi to Kos Town one day which cost 17 euros each way. You can also get a bus from outside the supermarket which is a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance, between the apartments and the beach. The people of Kos are very welcoming and everyone has brilliant English thankfully, as my Greek is useless 😊. The pool area is clean, with plenty of sunbeds and parasols to go round and no need to be out first thing to reserve a bed! The staff are so welcoming, and can’t do enough for you. They have a sign above reception which says ‘Arrive as strangers, leave as friends’ which is spot on. I would highly recommend. The only negative is the flight times from Cardiff. (Fault of TUI). They were horrendous!

We have just returned from the most amazing break at the mayflower. The staff are the most welcoming and friendly people, from the moment we arrived untill the second we left they could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile on their faces. The pool is amazing, clean and loads of space. The rooms were clean and spacious with all you need in them. The location is great, about 10 mins to supermarket and bakery, 15 to the beach and town. Good selection of restaurants with some amazing Greek food on offer. The beach isn’t great. Very cluttered and feels uncared for. The drinks are slightly more expensive at the hotel than in town but you don’t mind paying it due to the hospitality and warm welcome you get. We only ate 2 meals here but it was hot, cooked fresh and tasty. The Greek night was great. Good food and such great entertainment. All of the guest were up and dancing by the end of the night. I can not wait to rebook and return here. They have an 80% return rate here (according to rep) I can see why. The staff treat you like friends. My girls want to return just to see them again!!
