Im from Toronto and wanted to stay at a hotel downtown for a concert at Scotia arena. Im a RIU Class member and always choose the RIU in Mexico. Hotel was clean, loved the breakfast buffet however the view was horrible was room 1023 and view was balcony of other buildings. At booking a requested a nice view would have been happy with a street view. However all in all its a great hotel and It will be my choice of...

We enjoyed our stay at the RUI in downtown Toronto. The location was great. The property appeared newly renovated and fresh. I loved the decor. All of the staff were so friendly inviting and helpful. The breakfast buffet that came with our room was amazing! The variety offered was great hot foods,pastries,fruits,salad cheeses meats and yogurts. Something for everyone and all cultural preferences. We have arrived home from a wonderful 9-night stay at the Riu Plaza Toronto.
We had originally booked 8 nights, then months later our plans changed and was able to book another night at the beginning of our stay so had 2 reservations. On checking in sadly the hotels computer system was down so the lady on the desk was not able to match our two reservations up.

Ive stayed at several Riu hotels before, Nee York, Sal, Boa Vista to name a few, with family and have always felt valued as a guest and have always highly rated them. Unfortunately our experience at Toronto did not meet expectations and let the Riu brand down in our eyes.

The location in town is super great. Close to communications, restaurants and a lot of the sights. The hotel had a great breakfast and nice wifi speed. Smart TV setup for your streaming. Nice gym and nice lobby. Friendly staff, and the room was fresh, with a really nice shower and bath. We can recommend this place....
