The southern end of the country is home to some of Croatia’s most iconic spots. You and your other half might already know Dubrovnik – AKA King’s Landing – from binge-watching Game of Thrones on the sofa, so a honeymoon exploring where it was filmed just makes sense. The UNESCO site is full of museums, cool bars and art galleries, plus it’s got little beaches outside the city walls.
But for Croatia’s best beaches, it has to be the Dalmatian Coast. The area’s a firm fave for cruises and fancy yachts to drop their anchors, and it’s easy to see why. Buzzy Split’s got the old town and lively nightlife, and then you’ve got all the beaut little islands, like Brac and Hvar. Lots of the stays around here are luxury All Inclusive situations, but there’s also loads to do nearby if you fancy a change of scenery. Go all-out for your honeymoon and hire a skipper for a private boat trip, hopping between islands, snorkelling in secluded bays and visiting pretty fishing villages. You deserve it.
