Traditional island life, natural splendour and easy access to action-packed towns make holidays to Lygia fantastic fun-for-all getaways.

Catch of the holiday

Sitting on Lefkas' north-east coast, life in Lygia revolves around the fishing boat-filled harbour. Whether you're sipping ouzo by the water's edge, watching the sun set over the open ocean or tucking in to delicious seafood dishes, the village's maritime charm's always front and centre. It doesn't get much more Greek than that.

Spirited south

Head down the road toward Nidri for a little adventure. It's a 15-minute drive to the town, where you'll find shoreside watersports and lively nightlife. En route, be sure to make the detour to Dimosari Canyon and the turquoise Nidri Waterfalls for postcard-worthy scenes of natural beauty.

Capital idea

It's only a 10-minute drive to the island's capital, which is home to archaeological museums, buzzing bars and a large yacht-stocked marina. Lefkas Town also has a bustling main square packed with cafés and al fresco eateries serving cuisines of all kinds – the perfect place to watch the world go by.
