South Thailand's Mai Khao Beach chills out between three national parks on Phuket's north-west coast. This stretch of white sand's home to buzzing coral reefs and nesting sea turtles. Mai Khao Beach hugs close to Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, so it's not far from postcard-worthy mangroves, waterfalls and jungles. Khao Sok National Park, home to monkeys and wild elephants, is a 90-minute bus trip away. It's also a perfect place for hiking and river rafting.
