Sunshine’s a given in La Romana. The mercury hits an average of 29˚C, and gets even higher in the May to October hot season, when you get the odd short-lived rain shower. The top time for hols here is between November and April, when there’s less humidity. If you're a British passport holder, you can travel to the Dominican Republic for a holiday as long as your passport is valid for the duration of your stay. Before travelling, you'll need to fill in the Dominican Republic immigration and customs declaration form. Fill it out online at e-Ticket up to seven days before your arrival.
