It’s official – staying in is the new going out. On the hunt for some travel inspo while sofa sunbathing? You’ll find loads of ideas for your post-lockdown getaway on our blog.

Who are we kidding? Sure, mums and dads may pay for the holidays, but we all know that, when the kids are involved, the holiday revolves around them. So, if you’re planning a family-friendly holiday, and you’re looking for some serious parent points while you’re at it, take a look at this line-up of hotels we’ve found that’ll have your kids bragging to all their friends in the playground back home…

Sol Katmandu Park & Resort, Majorca

Bring the kids to Sol Katmandu Park & Resort, in Majorca, and they’ll never want to leave. Location-wise, it’s perfect. The hotel’s just 45 minutes from the airport, and a five-minute walk from the beach, which isn’t far, even for the littlest legs. Water babies will love the three pools, as well as the onsite splash park, which has water slides, jets, and tipping buckets. But, the biggest draw here has to be Katmandu Park, which is right on your doorstep. Stay at this hotel and you’ll get free daily entry to the interactive theme park that boasts a 4D cinema, a Wild West laser-shoot ride, and a 5D Haunted Adventure. There’s even a VIP section for guests of the hotel.

    Holiday Village Seaview Ibiza, Ibiza

If you’ve never heard of our Holiday Villages, listen up. Hotels in this collection majors in the ultimate family fun. The Holiday Village Seaview Ibiza has First Choice kids’ clubs that are split into age groups and run by UK-trained staff, so your little ankle-biters can make new friends in fun and safe play areas. The hotel’s onsite waterpark has a Caribbean pirates play area, and, like in every Holiday Village, there’s an Aerial Adventure course to take on. If you’ve got older kids in tow, the club for 12 to 15-year-olds has everything from David Guetta-style DJ lessons to Water Walkerz AKA human hamster balls on water. Plus, the hotel’s free Wi-Fi means teens can stay up-to-date with what’s going on back home, without racking up any insane data charges that you’ll inevitably have to pay for.

Here’s where you’ll find our fully-fledged portfolio of Holiday Villages.

Aqua Fantasy Aquapark Hotel & Spa, Turkey

The Aqua Fantasy Aquapark Hotel & Spa, in Turkey’s Izmir region, is part of our SplashWorld collection. These holidays include unlimited access to waterparks, so your little’uns can ride the slides all day, if they like. Aqua Fantasy’s waterpark lines up multi-lane flumes, tube slides and a lazy river. Plus, there’s Treasure Island, an area for smaller kids, which has squeal-inducing jets and sprays. Away from the water, there’s an American-style bowling alley, and a kids-only foam massage option in the spa – just like a traditional Turkish Hammam, but on a smaller scale.

Here’s where you can find a SplashWorld holiday.

Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Family holidays don’t mean that you have to avoid luxurious hotels. While Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic may seem like it’s just for grown-ups, look closer, and you’ll quickly see how much there is on offer for kids. Treasure hunts, camp outs, and al fresco movie nights mean you’ll never hear the words “I’m bored”. There are even Nintendo Wii and Xbox tournaments for teens over in the games room. And, who’s to say the spa’s just for mum? At Dreams Spa, you’ll find kid-friendly treatments like strawberry facials, and chocolate and mint body scrubs.
