Need a break from other people’s kids or your own while you’re away? Hotels with adults-only pools are a win. They’re your safe space from all the screaming and splashing, so you can have a chilled swim, snooze on a lounger or read your book in peace – plus, many come with their own poolside bar, too. Children are still welcome at these hotels, but having a dedicated pool area just for grown-ups is only fair, especially when they’re off having fun in a kids’ club or activity anyway... Here’s our pick of the best hotels with adults-only pools – you’re welcome x
Ikos Dassia, Greece
If you love the luxe life, Ikos Dassia is where you want to be. These resorts are known for their big boujie energy and this one in Corfu doesn’t disappoint. It’s split into different zones, with one side for families and the other just for grown-ups. Ofc, there’s the main pool – a massive lagoon-style situation everyone can use. Then, the kid-free section features not one, but two pools with unreal views over the Ionian Sea. And, with waiter service, you don’t have to burst your blissful, childless bubble to go get your next cocktail either. Travelling without kids? Four of the restaurants even have adults-only areas, so you can pretty much spend your whole holiday swerving the little ones.
Alexander the Great Beach Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus
Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos is an award winner, and it makes sense. The pool scene is mega – there’s a tropical, beach-style spot that slopes into the water and has a swim-up bar, as well as another called the Blue Lagoon. There’s more than enough room for everyone, but if you’re a couple that’s keen for a cute getaway, the adults-only suites are where it’s at. You’ll be in a different part of the resort to the family rooms, and you also get access to the exclusive Serenity Oasis adults-only pool. It comes with a load of boujie extras, too, like built-in whirlpools, sensory jets and in-water massage loungers. Fancy a cocktail? Waiter service for drinks means you don’t have to leave the safety of the adults-only space either. Plus, there are adults-only areas and adults-only mealtimes in the evenings, so you can eat and sip drinks in the bars without any kids around to ruin the zen vibes.

Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife
This hotel chain is a big name, so you already know Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has next-level facilities. Kids from toddlers to teens get fun clubs and activities to keep them entertained, so it’s only right that the adults get their own pool… we don’t make the rules. The vibes are immaculate at the adults-only Eden pool, with sleek in-water loungers, a swim-up bar and stunning ocean scenery. And, it wouldn’t be the Hard Rock Hotel if there wasn’t a chilled beats soundtrack in the background. Or, if you don’t feel like sharing with anyone else at all, have your VIP moment in a studio with your own whirlpool bath.
Riu Gran Canaria
Riu Gran Canaria might be family-friendly, but the best bits are just for grown-ups. We’re talking an adults-only infinity pool in a prime spot overlooking the ocean, featuring in-water loungers for soaking it all up. You’ll also love that the spa is 18+, too – steam baths, massages and treatments are wasted on kids, anyway. And, only adults can use the gym, so there’ll be no little ones messing around with the machines during your workout sesh. Even the best rooms are reserved for adults – we’re talking swim-up suites with sea views and your very own bar optics. The dream.
Liberty Signa, Turkey
Just because you want adults-only areas, doesn’t mean you can’t have big kid energy… Liberty Signa’s got over six pools, including one with waterslides for adults – you don’t have to pretend you’re not jel of the kids’ pool anymore. We’re talking twist flumes, mega bowls and multi-lane racers, and little ones have their own slides, so they don’t get in the way. There are other adults-only spots for a more chilled swim, too, and some have swim-up bars. You don’t have to mix with them at mealtimes either, thanks to an à la carte restaurant that’s only for over 16s. But nothing’s stopping you from raiding the kids’ buffet, btw…
