Think everywhere from beautiful Barbados, to trendy Tenerife, and the legendary White Isle, to list a few. Keep scrolling to decide where you’ll go next…
If you’re heading to the Caribbean with your partner for the first time, look no further than Barbados. This tropical island has it all – think beautiful beaches, a UNESCO-listed capital, friendly locals, and amazing local cuisine. Plus, after the two of you have spent the day sunning yourselves on the beaches, you can hit the bars and clubs together in Christ Church – this lively city is packed with rum bars, Bajan restaurants and dance-all-night clubs.
Don’t miss: Cliff Restaurant
There isn’t any other restaurant in Barbados quite like the Cliff restaurant. This place does what it says on the tin, perching over a gorgeous cove, where you can spot stingrays and tarpon splashing in the water below. In the evenings, torch-lit decks and unrivalled sunset views are on the agenda, so it’s really romantic. And because it’s the most celebrity-visited eatery on the island, don’t be surprised if you come across a few famous faces while you’re wining and dining.
Outdoorsy couples will feel right at home in Cape Verde. In fact, this place is renowned for being a surfer’s haven, thanks to its ideal position just off the northwest coast of Africa, which means large swells aren’t hard to come by. So if you’re a beginner or a bit of pro, we suggest you grab a board and take to the waves ASAP – water you waiting for?
Don’t miss: Pedra de Lume
If there’s one place you can’t miss off your itinerary in Cape Verde, it’s the Instagram-worthy saltpans at Pedra de Lume. You’ll find them nestled in the resort of Sal, which means ‘salt’ in English. Did we also mention they’re great for bathing in? Oh, and don’t forget those obligatory couples selfies, either.
It’s no secret that Tenerife is the star of the Canary Islands thanks to its wealth of things to do. It’s definitely a favourite among young couples, too. Trips here will have you both stargazing at Mount Teide National Park, zooming down slides at the largest waterpark in Europe, and tackling crater-like landscapes by foot. On top of that, you’ll have architect-designed beaches, cocktail bars, and amazing sunsets at your disposal. Basically, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t visit sooner.
Don’t miss: Mount Teide
Mount Teide is one of the most romantic places on the island to watch the sun go down. As it melts down the hillsides, the ridges and rocks take on pink and red hues. Plus, if you sign up to our Teide By Night excursion, you’ll get to look out for stars at a special viewpoint, where a guide will teach you about the different constellations. Date night, sorted.
Although the White Isle is famous for being a clubber’s paradise, what you may not know is that it’s couple friendly, too. Holidays in Ibiza offer up beautiful coastlines with plenty of beaches, not to mention some of the most stylish hotels in the Mediterranean, making it ideal for a couples retreat. On top of that, all of our Ibiza hotels are All Inclusive, which means you can both indulge in extras like spa treatments. And relax…
Don’t miss: Formentera
Ibiza’s little sister, Formentera, makes a perfect day trip for young couples. You’ll find it just 30 minutes’ ferry ride away from Ibiza, so it’ll feel like a holiday from your holiday. The island is full to the brim with eco-friendly trails, meaning you can explore most of it on foot or bike. Plus, the isle boasts really beautiful beaches, like Platja de Migjorn. This giant strip of sand is lined by caves, and the tropical-looking waters are perfect for snorkelling sessions.
