Globales Cala Viùas, Majorca

Looking for some proper peace and quiet? Globales Cala Viñas in Majorca is an adults-only hotel that nails the chill, coastal vibe. It’s perched on a secluded cove with a sandy beach just steps away. The hotel’s got all the essentials for switching off – think a sea-view pool, loungers lined up for lazy afternoons and a poolside bar for drinks and snacks. There’s even a spa ft. an indoor pool with sensory showers, a hot tub and a treatment menu. Rooms here come with balconies made for post-shower Lay’s and Fanta lemon sessions. Or if you’re feeling boujie, upgrade to a VIP room and you’ll get exclusive access to a rooftop pool, too…

Food-wise, it’s all about setting your own pace. The buffet restaurant dishes up everything from Spanish staples to international faves, and there’s even a late breakfast if you love a lie-in. Make sure you grab a sunset drink before you head in for dinner, though – the bar is literally carved out of the rock, no biggie. For a change of scenery, Magaluf’s just a couple of kilometres away and ticks off nightlife, watersports and beach clubs. For culture and city vibes, Palma’s around 20 minutes by car and packed with pretty boutique-lined streets, Arabic architecture and tapas spots.

Riu Buenavista, Tenerife

If you don’t want to lift a finger, Riu Buenavista in Playa Paraiso is your kind of place. It’s on Tenerife’s sunny southwest coast – you already know golden hour slaps here – and you’re just a short stroll from a sandy cove. You’ll also be a five-minute walk from Siam Park, btw…

If you’re in a group or away with the family, this pick’s perf for keeping everyone happy. There are four pools, including an infinity pool with in-water loungers, but beach lovers also have the sweep right there. The All Inclusive buffet is open 24/7 – you’ve gotta try a 3am meal at least once – or switch things up and try the à-la-carte grill, Italian or Asian.

They go big on activities and entertainment here, too. We’re talking a multi-sports centre, beach volleyball and water polo, and there’s a handy kids’ club if you want to join a fitness class or just have a few hours to yourself. Expect live music and parties in the evenings, or for something livelier, Costa Adeje’s bars and clubs are only a quick drive away.

Marhaba Beach Hotel, Tunisia

Marhaba Beach Hotel is set right on a golden stretch along Tunisia’s Mediterranean Coast, featuring a mega beachfront pool lined with palms. The category? A combo of classic resort comfort and local charm. Expect Moorish-style arches, whitewashed walls and geometric patterns. Other things you’ll love are an indoor pool that’s heated in the winter, a spa with a Turkish bath and a sauna, plus beauty treatments and massages. Feeling competitive? Get involved in beach volleyball, archery or take it to the games room.

You’ve also got options when it comes to food. There’s a buffet restaurant, a Tunisian à la carte, a Moorish café and a spot right on the sand – AKA the go-to for sunset cocktails. Everything you need’s covered, but you’re super close to Sousse’s centre if you want to get out and about. It’s a 10-minute drive to the old medina, where you can soak up the souks, history and local life. And Port El Kantaoui’s also nearby – head here for its marina, watersports scene and café culture.

Rixos Premium Belek, Turkey

These resorts have a rep for being extra and Rixos Premium Belek in Turkey doesn’t disappoint. Its mantra is ‘more is more’ – this five‑star resort sits along the Turkish Riviera and has a 700-metre-long private stretch of sand, as well as multiple pools and 15 restaurants and bars… You’ve got everything from Turkish, Greek and Asian à la cartes to a patisserie, two Starbucks™ and a food court. Even the buffet restaurant’s open until 2am – forget midnight snacks, they’re a whole meal here.

The big perk? You get free access to The Land of Legends theme park included, complete with a shuttle to take you there. Send it down 40 waterslides, hit the wave pool and ride The Hypercoaster.

Back at the resort, your days can be as low-key or full-on as you like. Chill by the pool, on the beach or in the two-storey spa, or get stuck into activities like boxing, bowling, paddle-boarding and tennis. It doesn’t slow down when the sun dips – catch a game in the Irish bar, watch a show on the outdoor stage or dance to DJ sets until 3am.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa, Mexico

The five-star Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa is the blueprint for tropical trips. It’s sitting pretty on the white-sand Riviera Maya coast, with a private snorkelling cove, rows of thatched parasols and a boho beach bar. Prefer a pool? There are three – two have swim-up bars – and a lazy river that winds through the resort. It’s laid out like a mini village, so it’s a fun way to get your bearings. It’s probably got more food and drink spots than your local high street – two buffet restaurants, seven à la cartes (special mention goes to the Peruvian and seafood spots), coffee shops, ice-cream bars and even a health bar for your daily ginger shot and fresh-pressed juice.

This place loves an activity, too. You can kayak, scuba dive, play tennis or get on the pickleball hype. The sports bar’s the place to go for table football, pool and air hockey. If you’d rather skip the sports, the spa is next-level – it’s split into four zones with waterfalls, sensory showers and a traditional Temazcal steam bath. Upgrade to a deluxe junior suite with a whirlpool tub and you’re officially living your best life. In the evenings, keep things laidback with a marg or two in Marima or embrace the entertainment – pick from tribute bands, game shows, quizzes, bingo and late-night discos.

We’re big on bargains all year round, btw… Check out our cheap deals.
