Winding souks, colourful fish and lots of beaches
Beach days
Chances are, the beaches are where you’ll spend most of your time. There’s loads to do offshore, too, with pedalos, windsurfing and kitesurfing on the cards. If snorkelling or scuba diving is more your thing, Shark’s Bay is one of the best places to spy underwater critters like pufferfish and rays.
Big nights out
Sharm el Sheikh isn’t just diving central — it’s got serious clubbing credentials, too. Big names like Pacha make themselves at home here, dealing out VIP club nights starring David Guetta and Roger Sanchez. Head for Na’ama Bay, where clubs, bars and cocktail joints cram the boardwalk.
A choice of daytrips
There’s loads to see within a couple of hours of Sharm el Sheikh. For Bedouin markets and world-class windsurfing, make tracks for Dahab City. To go back to nature, hop on a boat bound for Ras Mohammed National Park. Sand dunes, shipwrecks and coral reefs decorate this nature reserve.
