Holidays to Acharavi whisk you away to a popular beach resort, where relaxation and outdoor activities come in equal measure.

Northern beauty

Acharavi sits right on the northern coast of the Greek island of Corfu. Backed by picture-perfect hills, it's a great spot if you're into hiking or cycling, but also has all the usual seafront trappings. There's a sandy beach, al-fresco restaurants, cosy bars, and Corfu Town's under an hour's drive away.

A beach for everyone

Acharavi Beach hugs the town in a sand-and-shingle embrace. Ideal for families and not-so-confident doggie-paddlers, the clear, shallow waters stretch out for 50 metres before things get deep. Take a walk along the shoreline to choose a sunlounger and parasol for the day, many of which have waiter service.

Ancient sites

For a daytrip, take a 40-minute drive to the island's capital, Corfu Town. There are Venetian-era fortresses to gawk at in this UNESCO-protected spot, including an impressive 10th-century beauty. And make sure to pay homage to Corfu's resident saint by visiting his remains at the Church of Agios Spiridon.
