As one of the Algarve's most impressive beaches, it's a real showstopper. If the main beach is too busy for you, make your way towards the traditional fishing boats and on to Praia da Gale

Armacao de Pera's Middle Ages-era quarter is a part of town where you'll find a historic fort, winding streets and old-world buildings. Stroll down to Pescadores Beach, where locals still return with their daily catch. For spectacular views, explore the headland of Nossa Senhora da Rocha.
