Awful hotel. The room had paper thin walls so basically got no sleep the first night. The shower was tiny and you could barely move in it. The room was grubby and had no tea/coffee facilities which were advertised.
Breakfast is downstairs in a windowless room furnished with cheap furniture. The food was edible but clearly cheap and poor quality.

Our experience at Avenue Hotel has raised extremely serious concerns regarding security and duty of care.
Upon checkout, we left our luggage in the hotels designated storage facility for several hours before our departure. Before doing so, we expressly asked a staff member whether the room was secure. Im confused by some of the reviews if I'm honest.
We just got back from a 3 night stay.
Location is fantastic less than a 10 minute walk from central station.
You can get the train from the airport for 7pp directly to central station so transfer cost is 14pp there and back.

This is, without exaggeration, the most unsanitary and disturbing hotel experience I have ever had.
Upon entering the room, it was immediately clear that it had not been properly cleaned. The most shocking and unacceptable discovery was a used condom wrapper left behind from a previous guest. Can't beat the location!

Great place if you want to stay close to everything going on with no frills but anything you need right outside. Comfortable warm room (and the room stayed warm in the middle of an unexpected snow storm) and amazing staff. I had stayed here a year prior and decided to stay here again for this trip. This hotel may steal me from my other regular place when I'm in town....
