This is a great hotel. It is located 1 block from two tram lines. One tram line takes you to Centraal Station downtown, and the other one takes you right to the museums. If you cant afford to stay close in to everything, this is the next best thing. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are large and comfortable with a security safe. The room here was basic but very quiet as we had requested. We paid partially with points and they initially tried to put us in a odd room down by the breakfast buffet- after we questioned if they give inferior rooms to booking with points they moved us to another room overlooking the garden. Accommodations were at the expected level for a Hampton Inn. Building is not especially well-maintained but is relatively clean. No safety or security or hygiene worries.
Complimentary breakfast is good but seating area gets crowded.
Location is convenient for tourists; a 3-minute walk to a Metro stop. Very few restaurants in the immediate area.

Reception were just ok.... When asked about 50 euro deposit back receptionist barely spoke... Room was good, clean.. Breakfast was nice.... Close to tram which is down the stairs which we had to figure out as we weren't told by reception... Wouldn't stay again as nothing was around the hotel.......
