Top-of-the-line hotel with very affordable prices. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a convenient mini-shop in the lobby with a nice selection of beverages and snacks. Just off the lobby, is a cozy little bar area. Breakfast buffet is included and it offers a nice selection of delicious hot and cold options. My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the last night (8/28/25) of our European vacation. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff greeted us and were very friendly and professional. Even though we arrived 2 hours early for check in, we were able to check into our room and we also received a free upgrade. We were given a room in the basement with a view of the canal. Wonderful Stay

From the moment we arrived we had a wonderful stay. A very warm welcome from Veronika who checked us in and made sure we were happy with everything and made our stay very special. We had a canal view room which was lovely and the hotel is in a quieter area of the city but close enough to everything you need. The breakfast was plentiful and a great selection. When we are next in Amsterdam this is our hotel of choice!...

Rooms are small but clean and the bathroom is good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast for an Express. Location is excellent for some points of interest like the Portuguese Synagogue, but probably a taxi/Uber for most to the train station. Excellent restaurants nearby....

OK Location, Room for Improvement

This location is not quite as wonderful as some others in terms of access to train station or old town sites but still not a bad choice. I reserved a canal view room and was surprised that the water level was so close to the window ledge. I like a a quirky stay. The breakfast has room for improvement with more fresh fruit or hot food offerings....
