On arrival we were a bit shocked to be charged a damaged deposit for the nights we had booked, but after it was explained to us and we found out that we could eat in the restaurant or use the mini bar and it would be deducted from that money it didnt seem so bad.

We stayed here and actually quite enjoyed the stay while there. However im marking this hotel as a 1 because of the disaster of getting the deposit back. They have said it will be paid within 10 business days but this is a lie. It feels like they are trying to drag it out in the hope that we forget. Its awful customer service and they should not lie about how long it will take to get your money back. Awful please avo...

Beware of the Refundable Deposit Still Waiting After 16 Days

I had a very disappointing experience with Hotel Arena Amsterdam, and I feel obligated to warn future guests.
Upon check-in, I was charged a 150 security deposit, which the hotel staff clearly stated would be refunded within 3 days after check-out. It has now been 16 days, and I still have not received my money.

Beautiful hotel and very lovely staff. Kymo and Hanna at the front desk were super friendly and very helpful with all of our requests! Location of hotel is perfect if you want to be a little out of the city, its about a 25 to 30 min walk into the city but didnt bother us a Amsterdam has so many hidden gems you can only find when walking.
