I have just had a lovely short break here with my sister to celebrate a significant birthday. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. The Hotel de Hallen is a beautifully designed hotel made from a converted tram shed.
The rooms are very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards, and well designed with excellent amenities.
The hotel is located a few tram stops west of Leidsplein offering excellent access to the museums and the centre of Amsterdam.

This hotel was a rare find and is located around the corner from the Food Hall where you can find a variety of food options along with bar drinks. It is very convenient as a base for day trips and should be considered by foodie travelers....

Nice decor. Very comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Extremely clean. Great foodhall next door and plenty of supermarkets, bakeries and cafes nearby. Location a little way from the central hub. Unfortunately the tram lines were disrupted due to road works which made the navigation from the hotel to various sites and the airport a little harder.
