We loved our stay at the Jan Luyken. The staff was uniformly kind and accommodated our schedule (early arrival and late departure) with easy bag check. Coffee and snacks during the day and wine/cocktail availability was nice too. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Lovely hotel described as a town house. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Beer, soft drinks and wine were available all day and included in our stay. Breakfast was a normal continental with eggs as well. Very nice. Room was good with waffles and sweets in room. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family....

I took a group of friends and family to Jan Luyken in April for a 2 night stay before our River Cruise. This Boutique Hotel is fantastic! From checking in to checking out, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere is like being at home. We booked this hotel because of its location, with easy access to the museums and Vondel Park, as well as its positive reviews. The location was as expected, but the rest of our experience was adequate, at best. We booked a "Small" room and that description was apt, with barely enough room for two carry on cases, only one of which at a time could remain open.
