We had a lovely stay at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel near Museumsplein. An initial issue with our room was quickly resolved by reception who also helped promptly with other requests we had. We were in a deluxe room, nice view of the canal side, clean, comfortable beds and quiet air conditioning. It's a boutique hotel and standard rooms might feel a bit small for some. We went to Amsterdam for a few days in our honeymoon before going onto the South of France for the rest of our holiday. In Amsterdam we chose to stay at the Leonardo in the Museum Quarter, largely because of its great location close enough to the centre and only a 2-minute walk from the Rijksmuseum and other museums.

Right next to the Reiksmuseum and canals this was a great base for exploring Amsterdam. Stop for 397 airport bus (Museumplein) is just round the corner. Canal cruise stop is right outside. Easy tram up to Dam Square/Central station or stroll along the canals up to Anne Frank House. Metro at Veizelgracht 10 mins walk. Vondelpark was gorgeous for a stroll and lunch. Good location however rooms very small , no space to open up bags except on th bed and then nowhere to store. Bathroom tiny. Decor very dated - it needs a refurb.
Travelling on business but no space to work in room.
Poor wifi in room.
For the price could definitely get better....

Comfort with a great location

Stayed here for five nights as part of a tour group, and the location was great. The hotel is close to many of the sights and within comfortable walking distance to tram stops to see the rest of the city.
The rooms were compact and comfortable, and included a hair dryer, safe, and refrigerator....
