I had a wonderful stay at the Max Brown Museum Square Hotel in Amsterdam. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot, especially if you enjoy visiting museums and walking around the beautiful neighborhood nearby.

Precipitous stairs, tiny rooms and narrow beds

We stayed in this quirky hotel for a couple of nights in Amsterdam. The shabby chic general areas are great, but our rooms were small - not that in itself was a problem as we had single occupancy, but for two people it would have been challenging. I typically dont write reviews, but I thought Id help out those thinking about this hotel. My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very walkable to pretty much everything. We stayed towards the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet and very rarely heard other noises. The rooms are small, I will say that, but it was perfect for our stay. We booked a triple room and expected it to be small based on the dimensions listed on the website. Unfortunately, one of the beds was broken and noticeably tilted. To the hotels credit, the front desk did resolve this issue after we reported it. Location was good.
