A gem in Amsterdam. A luxery hotel with charm. A weekend with a good friend to visit the Amsterdam light festival . we had a room with a beautiful view of the Amstel river. The room was clean ( spotless) , and very stylish that corresponds with the authenticity of the history of the building. - [ ] Shower door does not close - floor is soaked every time
- [ ] No milk for coffee
- [ ] Toilet holder broken
- [ ] No displayed prices for mini bar, so assumed free, then was charged. (Its free mini bar at the Okura)

Overall this was a four star experience in a five star hotel. The hotel itself is very nice, very clean and tidy. Our issue was the lack of personal service and attention, the staff were fine but we didn't feel any connection with them, like you get in other hotels. There was a coldness to the whole stay. The hotel is out of the way but walking into the dam square is a scenic one and is a nice 25 min walk
Or a short cab
The hotel is really nice
Staff very friendly
And the spa facilities is defiantly great to unwind and use
The duplex rooms
With the bath by your bed is a really nice room and would certainly recommend
The offer of a pillow choice
Is worth choosing as our pillows that come stand...

comfortable rooms and nice pool but staff really not helpful, we were told to wait in the lobby for 2 hours for our room to be ready as it would only take '15 minutes', we went out and returned and it still wasn't ready, was given a drinks voucher but were tired and almost 4 hours wasted of our trip, we asked to settle up night before check out so we could get our cab on time and the receptionist piled on so much pr...
