GOOD: Pretty good location, friendly staff
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: The place has a lot of deferred maintenance. The flooring desperately needs to be replaced. My eyes stung a little from smoke. Steep stairs to get to our room....

Lovely staff but very mouldy and dirty room

Staff really friendly and helpful but the hotel is not at all clean and our room was covered in black mould - some of which we had to wipe off the walls ourselves as it was making us feel unwell in the night. Bedding wasnt clean either, covered in hairs and room very grimy. Its a shame as its affordable, in a good location and has lots going for it but would not stay here again...

A brilliant, affordable hotel close to the city centre

We stayed at this hotel with our two young children who are both under 5 and thought it was brilliant. Our triple room was really spacious and had a kitchenette, which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and our room even had a little balcony that our boys could stand on to watch the trams go by. This is a really affordable hotel for Amsterdam and wed highly recommend it....

Average experience, mediocre hotel in an expensive city

Pros:
-Clean room
-Comfortable bedding
-Personable front desk host
Cons:
-No housekeeping, at all. We spent 5 nights there, put up the housekeeping sign on at least one day, and nobody came during our entire stay. Pretty big miss. And no guest should have to request housekeeping, especially when some rooms were clearly serviced and others weren't.
