This was my second stay at the XO Hotels Blue Square. I arrived on 17 October and departed a week later. I have nothing but compliments for the staff at this hotel. For every request I made, the first response was "of course!". I had requested a room with a view out over the water in the back, that was all ready for me. Get a hotel in the city centre

We booked this hotel because it was cheap, even though its a drive away from Amsterdam city centre. We shouldve spent a bit extra and got a hotel in the city because we ended up spending money on Ubers and buses to get to and from the city. There isnt much going on in the area this hotel is situated in.

The staff at the desk were nice and helpful cannot complain about that, however our experience regarding the rooms was terrible. This was quite expensive accomodation we paid for and the rooms was quite poor. The bathroom was no stocked - no soap, there was A LOT of mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, the mirror was as ruined, the sheet of the bed had a stain, there werent proper pillows (they were square). Overall; I would not recommend to go here again.
We also had to pay 5 to check in early even though it was only 20 minutes early....

Not close to the centre but has great transport links

The hotel is clean, affordable, accessible and there are shops and transport in close proximity. The hotel allows you see more of Amsterdam. Trams and buses are minutes away. KFC and other food shops and a supermarket close by.
There is nothing special or undesirable, I may stay here again....
