Although a local friend found the location far too central / busy, we did choose to be in the 'tourist' area and no issues there.
We weren`t able to access our room early despite paying for a deluxe room and were told the hotel was fully booked - perhaps it was.
The breakfast was good, our own coffee was provided on request, the usual layout of options.
The terrace was nice and we would have certainly used it mo...

Hotel 1898 has an exceptional staff, great location, beautiful rooms and bathrooms, an amazing spa, great tea time, and a stunning rooftop pool and bar. Take your tea and sandwich in the afternoon and enjoy the sunset while looking at the Sagrada FamÃlia in the distance. We stayed for our honeymoon, and it was perfect....

Beautiful colonial style hotel that is an oasis of calm from the bustle of La Rambla. Lovely staff and excellent service. Slight vibrations from the underground....

Lovely elegant hotel with amazing staff! The location is perfect for exploring the city! I got sick on our last night. The Manager went above and beyond to accommodate us until I felt well enough to leave. Dont miss the breakfast buffet! It is plentiful and delicious!...
